Our Fabrics

Whilst we recognize it is difficult as a brand to be entirely eco-friendly, we aspire to make our products as sustainable as possible.

In collaboration with ECONYL®, Emsea Swimwear uses eco-conscious fabrics. ECONYL® is a performance fibre repurposed from recycled fishing nets and other post-consumer materials.

We aim to clean our beloved ocean, transforming its waste into treasures.

The nylon can be reused and recycled again and again, whilst preserving its quality.

By reducing the global warming impact by up to 90% compared to materials produced in the oil industry, ECONYL® insures long term decrease of our environmental impact and carbon footprint.

Our Dyes

Our dyes equally aim to preserve our planet.

The harvesting of raw materials is handled in an environmentally and socially responsible manner, protecting our planet for years to come.

Post-production Waste

Any remaining waste after production is disposed of in a careful manner. All textiles go for recycling and water is purified before being discharged. Any faulty item is either donated, sold in our "Unique Pieces" page or recyled.

Packaging

We pack your orders using bio-degradable bags made using PLA+PBAT vegetable starch. The bags take between 12 and 24 months to completely decompose in a dry natural environment and 6 to 8 months in a humid environment.

All packaging material we use are recycled and/or biodegradable.

Our Carbon Footprint

As a brand, we look for the most efficient ways of keeping a low carbon footprint. We currently have two production teams located in Asia and Europe to reduce import and export distance. We work exclusively with eco-conscious companies who share all of our environmental values.

Helping out

As a small business, we aim to play our role in cleaning up our beloved planet. We make sure that a small part of our sales goes to fund cleaning up nature, such as excursion days picking up waste on islands in the Maldives. We do not have a fixed rate yet, but we aim to decide on one in the near future.
